Branding is not complicated. The thing is, it’s that no one was taught ‘branding’ as a subject at school, and really, the reality is, ‘a brand’ is a collective of things.
Branding is something anyone can do as long as they understand the core principles required, some of which I will share with you now.
Branding is identity and perception.
Branding online and offline is about conveying a certain message via your use of colour, graphics, fonts, style, essence, consistency and message to name a few, to promote your product or service.
Your goal as a business owner is to create a message about your product or service, and using branding as a tool to communicate creates delicious know, like and trust (even when you’re sleeping, it’s working for you).
‘High value’ is a perception, and you can use your branding as the communication tool to deliver that message.
We value things based on our background, the way we were raised, our family values, our cultural and societal values. We also develop our own personal values along the way.
When we see something or have an experience, we automatically assign a value to it, we make a judgement of value.
(This how we can store the memory of things, it has to ‘register’ in some way in our experience for it to be captured for later recollection)
This is where with a bit of time and effort your business can benefit by understanding what ‘high value’ looks like to your ideal clients, and how to incorporate that into your branding and marketing efforts.
I really want you to walk away with something today, I know us women like to understand how things connect, so let’s use one of our major skill sets of connection and set the scene for values and communication.
In recent history our society has been run and controlled by men. We are rising up and taking back what is ours to be part of, sitting at the table, high power positions, running business, companies and empires etc.
So, what we were traditionally taught was to dress a certain way, say a certain thing, and do certain things to create a perception of values about who we are, which helped form our identity.
Now that we are rising, we are re-writing those ‘do things a certain way to create values’ to be what we want. In this process we are all moving through consciously and unconsciously, we are breaking new ground in terms of values, perception and what we want.
That being said, you can now see what we are facing – we are re-writing our values and what that looks like, while living our lives and constantly assessing values based on the past! This relates to you and your business because it’s an open choice, an open field and NO ONE has done this, no one has done what we are doing before us.
This is new, but it’s still connected to our past.
When you put on certain clothes, say certain things, and post certain things online it creates a perception in your potential clients mind of who you are and what you represent and value.
In your potential clients mind, they decide if they connect with you and what you are showing you value. As in – you talking the same things, speaking to the same frequency.
When you wear a potato sack it communicates a message right, you’re either playing a game or have no clothes. Either way your outfit tells everyone something about you, even before you open your mouth to speak.
If you have an online business, or promote your business online and you use the live video post option – you’re wearing clothes in those videos, and those clothes are loudly communicating a message to your viewers.
Think for a second what do your clothes communicate about you and your business?
Here’s a few more examples to get you thinking, because I’m pretty sure you don’t wear a potato sack…
– Strappy singlet and skirt
– Yoga/workout clothes
– Jacket and scarf
– Sequin covered blazer and jeans
– Your favourite comfy dress…
What you wear on live video is judged instantly.
(So is the background, the words you say, the quality of the video and quality of the sound etc)
We judge each other in about 1/10th of a second…there is no time to talk inside that time frame. We are so smart and fast, that we use that persons appearance to sum them up, to judge are they cool, are they safe, are they valuable, are they ‘high value’, are they funny, will they just ignore at me?!
When it comes to your business I say style is everything! Not because it’s my favourite thing in the whole world (even though it is), but because it’s because it’s a highly effective communication tool.
Remember branding is identity and perception.
When you have a personal brand and you’re promoting the products or services, you babe and what you wear becomes part of the perception and value equation.
Your style, your choice of clothes, accessories and colours work to communicate value.
Let me ask you, what does High-End Value look like?
There is a look to what we class as high value.
There is a feeling to high value.
Spend time on this and get really crystal clear on what high value looks like.
For me, I feel high value looks like hair and nails neat, clear skin, makeup, stylish clothes, a beautiful background. Matching clothes, makeup, glowing skin and nice background in a video represents effort to me, I see she has spent time and effort to pull this off – I VALUE THAT EFFORT.
I feel we all value a woman’s effort. We see it and thing, you go girl, I see you, I see your effort, and thank you.
In your mind when you ask yourself, what does high value look like, you should have images come to mind. It may be Beyoncé, it may be Cleopatra, it may be getting diamond creme facials, it may be holidays in France, it may be jewels of diamonds and sapphires- glitz and glam.
Spend time on this, really do your homework. Remember you’re an energetic frequency, how you feel about this topic/subject matters. That’s how we know when someone puts in effort, we feel it, we feel her/his frequency of effort. We connect to that persons frequency and effort.
When you see it, you feel it, then you know it and place a value on it.
The answer to this question becomes WHAT IS YOUR FREQUENCY OF HIGH END VALUE.
The clients that come into your life, will be a similar frequency to you, and when you are crystal clear (what is high-end value), the message becomes clear and it’s easy for potential clients to feel they match with you.
This is also why ‘fake it till you make it’ doesn’t work anymore, we’re stepping out of that old paradigm, our consciousness is rising.
Spend as much time as you need with this.
What does high value look like to you.
Look around for the next week with this in mind, and notice what your eyes perceive as high value. You’ll probably also start to notice us women have different values to what men value. This is incredible information when it comes to who you are marketing to. Take note.
If you’re marketing to women, when you tap into this high-end frequency, women who are feeling high-end will start to see you. Don’t under estimate the power of this and the clarity required.
Sending you lashings of love and lipstick.
The world is now your oyster,
xo
